From Black central:
Many people have been asking when Black is going to perform live again. Our usual reply is: 'when professional concert promoters make us a sensible offer'. As you can probably guess, the phone is not ringing off the hook. That's not great for those who hunger for a live event and it's not great for us either because Colin really does want to play live. It's not a simple thing to put together a one-off show. As you are probably aware, Colin works with some of the best musicians around and because they are so good, they're busy. We have to be able to commit to a block of time (including rehearsals) and book it far enough in advance so the musicians can fit it into their diaries. It's not cheap to do either. However... we do make recording sessions happen don't we? In fact, we have a session booked in London at the end of October. So an idea popped its shiny head above the distant horizon - we could host an 'Evening With Black' while we're at it. The studio we're using, in North-West London, is big enough to easily seat 25 people in the same room as the band and they are more than open to the idea of their premises being temporarily annexed by a posse of Black aficionados. Not only that, they have video recording facilities on hand as well. So here's the deal: you get the exclusive chance to visit a London recording studio, be one of only 25 people in the audience attending a Black concert which will be recorded and filmed. We will provide liquid refreshments and snacks. The atmosphere will be relaxed and informal and it will be an opportunity to be with Colin in a social and work setting and have a chat after the performance. You take away a CD of that night's live recording and some unique (just made) memories and then, a couple of weeks later receive an edited DVD of the show. We may also invite you into the control room to hear some of the unmixed backing tracks we've been recording - but we're not going to guarantee that for obvious reasons.

Tickets are sold on a non-refundable, first come, first served basis. By attending this event you give your permission to be filmed and that your image may be used in a final edited product which may be made available world-wide. Professional recording studios are expensive and easily damaged environments so admission will be at the discretion of the studio management.
