Colin Vearncombe scored a big hit under the name of Black and released four albums. After seven years of absence he's back with a new record titled The Accused. The reason of this absence? "In 1993 I had the feeling that I was burnt out. I couldn't seem to write any songs anymore and I withdrew myself from the scene. Until I was asked to come to a songwriters workshop, which in fact is some kind of therapy for derailed songwriters. To my own surprise I learned so much there, that I was soon back on track, writing songs again, with The Accused as the result.
"I am very satisfied with this life. Wonderful life is now used for a jeans commercial, which caused me to have no financial struggles for the time being. I promote The Accused everywhere, and if they still want to hear Wonderful life, then I will play that too.
"I have a great record company, who support me in every way and who are really interested in music and their artists. With them, I hope to make The Accused a success. Plus, don't forget to make live appearances. Solo or with a band, I will have to see, but I will surely come to the Netherlands as well."
